TWIN FALLS, Id ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The Valley House food pantry is filling up quickly with a large donation from a local grocery store.

For the past month patrons of Grocery Outlet have had the opportunity to purchase grocery bags full of food to donate. The program, called Independence From Hunger is in its 5th year and the Grocery Outlet owners have chosen Valley House to receive this year’s donations.

"They don't receive any contributions from the government or anything like that, so all of their operations are really based on donations from communities around and so this was a good way to help supplement that,” said owner Craig Hawkins. This year Grocery Outlet raised over $3,000 in food and cash donations.
