BURLEY, Idaho (KTVB) -- A woman from Virginia was killed Sunday when a mini-van crossed over the median of Interstate 84 and slammed into the SUV she was driving, Idaho State Police said. Police say 36-year-old Candace Redman, of Poquoson, Virginia died at the scene of the crash, about six miles west of Burley.

Redman's two children were taken by ambulance to Minidoka Memorial Hospital. The driver of the mini-van, 48-year-old Marvin Locke, of Twin Falls, was taken by air ambulance to St. Lukes Magic Valley, police said. Investigators say, just before 3 p.m., Locke was traveling east on I-84 near the Jerome-Minidoka County line when his 2000 Dodge Caravan veered off the road, drove through the median, and into the westbound lanes before crashing into Redman's 2008 Nissan Pathfinder.

Police closed one lane for several hours while they investigated and crews worked to clear the scene. The conditions of those injured have not been released. Everyone involved was wearing seatbelts, police said.
