UPDATE: 2:15 p.m.: The city has issued a water advisory for users in north Twin Falls. “We don’t believe there is anything in the water,” Twin Falls City spokesman Joshua Palmer said, “but we want to err on the side of caution.” He said if you have a filtration system you can use that, but at this time water does not need to be treated for bathing purposes. Check the city's website for more information on the water advisory.

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – A main water line was damaged this morning, causing considerable pressure loss to residents on the north side of town.

The break happened a little before 9:30 a.m. today on North College Road by the College of Southern Idaho Expo Center, said Twin Falls City spokesman Joshua Palmer. He said crews are at the scene trying to shut off the line and repair the break.

CSI has closed its main campus due  to the loss of water pressure. Xavier Charter School also closed its doors at 11 a.m.

The line broke during construction work on the road this morning, which is part of the Cheney Drive Extension Project. More details will be posted as they become available.

Water main break on North College, right by the Herrett Center. Thankfully the water is not getting close to the museum.
