We've seen some pretty epic music fails, but this one ranks among the best.

To impress their families, friends and fellow classmates, these five middle-school kids decided to take on Weezer's 'Undone (The Sweater Song)' onstage. It starts off just fine, but things quickly go downhill.

If you're not into spoilers, stop reading now and just watch the above video. As you'll see, the keyboardist's stand just collapses. And after it falls to the ground, the band just stops, and awkward silence fills the room.

Besides the mortified looks on the young musicians' faces, there's not much else happening during those looong few seconds after the music stops. They attempt to recover (with some grownup help), and there's polite applause from the crowd, but how do you recover from that?

Short answer: You don't. But Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo saw the clip and loved it:

So they at least got a good story out of their miserable onstage experience.
