When Will The Canyon Rim Walking Trail Reopen?

Following the recent flooding in Twin Falls, a section of the Canyon Rim Trail behind Canyon Crest that was washed away, remains closed.

Dennis Bowyer of Twin Falls parks and Recreation tells News Radio1310 that right now the city is looking to an engineering firm for estimates on repair costs.

They’re also considering work that might need to be done to reinforce the infrastructure, should this kind of flooding ever happen again.

Once the bids are in, the Twin Falls City Council will need to approve costs so that a project timeline can be set.

In the meantime, Bowyer is hopeful that repairs to the trail will be underway this fall.
