The 60 mph wind gusts are causing havoc all over Southern Idaho.

Idaho 50 and US 93, at the Hansen and Perrine Bridges, have closed today (Mar. 17) as high winds have caused vehicle crashes in the area, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Traffic is encouraged to use Idaho 46, between Wendell and Buhl, and Idaho 27 in Burley as alternate routes.

No estimation is available for the reopening of the highways. Motorists are encouraged to check the 511 traveler information system on their computers or dial 5-1-1 on their phones for the latest information on these and any other closures.

3:14 PM MTN UPDATE: The Twin Falls Police announced that the Perrine Bridge is once again open to traffic. They encourage trucks to use an alternate route until the wind warning expires.
