A Wind Advisory remains in effect for the Magic Valley through Tuesday (Jan. 29th). Winds could gust up to 50 mph at times.

From the National Weather Service in Boise: A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 11 am to 8 pm Tuesday.

  • Winds: West 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 50 mph in the Western Magic Valley through Tuesday afternoon.
  • Impacts: Travel problems on area roads. Roads may be snow covered at first but above freezing temperatures Tuesday afternoon should ease problems.

Precautionary/preparedness actions

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of at least 30 mph or gusts of at least 45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
