Woman Arrested After Threatening Bus Passenger with Knife

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - A woman, riding on a Greyhound Bus has claimed that another passenger threatened her with a knife.

The woman reported the attack to Twin Falls police claiming that it all happened on Sunday March 8 around 5:13 pm. Police said the victim reported that a woman identified as Suzanne Griffin, 57, held a knife to the victim’s throat as the bus crossed the Perrine Bridge.

The woman said that Griffin was behind her in a seat at the time. Griffin told police that she was heading to Oregon from Georgia and had been on the bus for about a week. She claimed that she was very tired, hungry and dehydrated. The knife was later found in the shoe of another passenger.

Witnesses told police that they saw Griffin pass the knife off to man later identified as William Thompson. In the police report, Griffin said she may have held the knife to the throat of the passenger due to the stressful situation with the long trip.

She has been charged with Battery and Concealing, destruction or altering Evidence. Her Preliminary hearing is set for March 20, 2015 at 8:15 a.m.
