SANDPOINT, Idaho (AP) — A northern Idaho woman says a black bear caused $4,600 in damage to her vehicle and a container holding leftovers last seen in the car has disappeared.

Vivian Swanson of Sandpoint tells the Bonner County Daily Bee (http://bit.ly/1IDlUzN) that she had three of four doors locked on her 2004 Acura and the bear left scratch marks on each door before finding the unlocked one.

Swanson says that last weekend she noticed the dome light was on and discovered ripped out upholstery when she went to investigate. The bear was gone.

She says her husband identified the type of bear based on the tracks left behind.
