SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — The woman who was shot to death in Spokane Valley on Monday morning had just started a new life in the Inland Northwest after leaving Boise, Idaho, to move in with her brother.

Brenda Kenison and her 7-year-old son had moved in with Brenda's brother, Danny Kenison, this spring. The Spokesman-Review says Brenda and Danny were shot to death in the home on Monday morning. Her son discovered the bodies and called 911.

Gilberto Delgado, a 44-year-old felon with a history of violence, has been arrested in connection with the slayings. He had met Brenda Kenison only a few months ago and already had her name tattooed on his forearm. He was arrested Tuesday in Blackfoot, Idaho.
