TWIN FALLS, Id ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) If you have driven down North College Road recently, you may have noticed some construction across from Expo Center.

The College of Southern Idaho will soon be expanding Cheney drive from Washington. Once complete the road will run from Washington to the intersection of North College and Frontier Road. The goal is to create a bypass around the health science building, relieving traffic on North College Road.

"I think it will make it safer for the students to walk back and forth across North College. If you envision further down the road when there are more building over there it will create more foot traffic,” said Randy Dill with CSI.

Construction of the Cheney Drive Bypass is expected to be completed by the 16th of June.
