TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)-Idaho Transportation Department officials have cancelled a planed resurfacing of the Perrine Bridge. The project was set to begin April 8th but ITD engineers have decided to used new technology that will cut the project time down from weeks to days.

The new method would seal the current bridge surface as opposed to replacing it entirely. This alternative method is being used on a number of other bridge projects around Idaho. Officials will have to bid a new contract for the project that may happen in 2014 or 2015.
