Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Idaho Power is continuing its work on the Shoshone Falls Spillway and Dam, and is about 25% complete.

The two year project is designed to replace the aging spillway originally built almost 90 years ago. The new gated–spillway and dam will be a complete concrete structure, and when completed will be unseen by citizens. The first phase of the project took place last year, when crews completed the north-side section of the dam.

This year they are working to connect both sides of the falls, with completion anticipated by November of this year. Shoshone Falls Park has remained open to the public during construction. Parks and Recreation Director Dennis Bowyer says they haven't heard a single complaint about the ongoing work and thanked the public for their patience as Idaho Power finishes up.
