TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – You can help the city of Twin Falls win a $20,000 grant to improve a local park.

The city will participate in the National Recreation and Park Association’s “Meet Me at the Park” campaign to revitalize parks across the country.

How can you help?

During the month of April, you can nominate the city by visiting NRPA.org/BeInspired. The city with the most nominations will receive the grant. You have the chance to win something, too. Residents who nominate a city will be entered into a drawing for a tablet outfitted for the outdoors.

“With parks like Shoshone Falls, Auger Falls and Dierkes Lake, the city of Twin Falls has an abundance of public places where residents and visitors can enjoy our region’s natural beauty,” Twin Falls Parks and Recreation Director Wendy Davis said in a prepared statement.

“That’s why from April 1 to April 30, Twin Falls residents and visitors will have the opportunity to nominate our city to receive a grant toward improvements at one of our local parks.”

The city also is encouraging residents and visitors to urge their friends to participate by taking a selfie and publishing it with the hashtags #MeetMeAtThePark or #Parkies.

NRPA has partnered with The Walt Disney Co., ABC Television Group and ESPN to provide the grant to the city that receives the most nominations for best parks. All grant money will be used to improve a local park.
