COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (KLIX)-North Idaho law enforcement say drivers tried to warn an 85-year-old man he was going the wrong way on the highway before crashing head-on with a logging truck late last week.

According to Idaho State Police, James Leslie, of Kalispell, Montana, died at Kootenai Health on Dec. 22, after the Thursday Dec. 19 crash on U.S. Highway 95 between Coeur d'Alene and Worley at around 6:47 p.m.

In a statement released Dec. 24, ISP said several people in other vehicles attempted to alert Leslie as he drove his 2001 Toyota Avalon in the wrong lane before crashing with a 1995 Kenworth logging truck, driven by Robert Henson, 49, of Troy, Montana; Henson was not injured in the crash.

The collision blocked the highway for about two hours.
