Idaho Shooters To Pay $$$ After Leeds & Chalky Butte Fires

Maybe we're not telling you something you don't already know. However, when you look at the word "firearm," you can see it staring you right in the face: Fire.

Yes, ammunition can cause fires. Including, extremely dangerous and expensive forest fires.

Set said fires, and you're going to pay. Just like these two bozos found out.

Two Idaho shooters hit with enormous fines after starting two enormous fires.

It's pretty cut and dry. Two recreational shooters in Idaho (back in 2024) exploded some ammunition, and immediately sparked a fire that would lead to the Leeds and Chalk Butte fires in southwest Idaho.

Unfortunately for the gentlemen who started the fires, they've been hit with a $24,000 fine that they'll have to pay to the Bureau of Land Management.

Something we learned: Recreational target shooting is the number one cause of human-caused Idaho wildfires. So, please please be careful out there, okay?
