What is the Best Choice to Add to Twin Falls’ Eating Scene?
It has been over a week since the closing of Golden Carrol in Twin Falls, and some are still left confused and in shock at the suddenness of it all, and still trying to figure out what went wrong. While some residents are still upset, others are more excited about the possibility of what will happen to the currently vacant location. There are rumors that Raising Canes could be taking over and moving in, or that In-N-Out could take the location if the one they currently are pursuing doesn't come to fruition. All of the rumors could be wrong, and it could be something else entirely, but it is worth asking, what do the people of Twin Falls want most? A Golden Carrol? An In-N-Out? A Raising Canes? Something else, or nothing at all?
What Should Happen to the Old Golden Carrol in Twin Falls?
Some are upset about Golden Carrol closing and would prefer to have it over any of the rumored options. There aren't many buffets in the area, and Golden Carrol, despite some flaws, overall offered good food and quality service. It was a good location, and getting a table was never a problem, despite there being a constant flow of customers. While keeping Golden Carrol would have been ideal, some are excited at the possibilities of what could be next. Raising Canes and In-N-Out are both exciting new options, but is that what the people of Twin Falls want?
What Twin Falls Wants For Eating Options
While the thought of something new is exciting, that doesn't mean it is what people want. Raising Canes offers great food and is decently priced, but there are already a few chicken places in the area to compete with, and some may argue have a better selection. Chick-fil-A and KFC would be down the street, in a prime location, making the competition stiff. There are those in the area who aren't familiar with Raising Canes and may prefer to stick with what they know. The same can also be said about the potential of In-N-Out coming in. McDonald's is down the street, Culvers isn't far, heck even Red Robbin and Applebee's while not fast food, offer good burgers as well, and The Habit would be right around the corner. That is a lot of hamburger options in a close area. For those unfamiliar with In-N-Out, why would they wait in line, when they can get a hamburger they know and trust with less of a wait?
Something will move into the old Golden Carrol soon, or knock down the building and take over the location, but will residents of Twin Falls be getting what they truly desire? Golden Carrol offered something that none of the rumored places could, and it was enjoyed by many in the area. The same can not be said for the new potential residents of the location, but time will tell if it was a good or bad decision. What would you prefer to have? A Golden Carrol? A Raising Canes? An In-N-Out? Something else, or nothing at all?
