WATCH: Magic Valley ID ‘Door Kick Challenge’ Ends With Regret

A Magic Valley homeowner recently shared footage of a group of local youths participating in a viral challenge that involves kicking a home's front door in the middle of the night and running off. This incident ended with an unlikely helping of regret by the teenager who did the kicking.

The 'Door Kick Challenge' is yet another moronic viral challenge that many foolish young people are taking part in to conjure up excitement in their otherwise lackluster lives. This isn't doorbell ditching, which most adult homeowners find to be harmless. This challenge is something else entirely, and it's amounting to felony charges and physical confrontations in many instances.

There's not much that separates this challenge from an attempted home invasion, in which property owners are allowed to use lethal force to defend themselves. If you 'Google' the challenge, you'll find news stories from across the country regarding it and the repercussions that those who have taken part in it have faced.

A Magic Valley Teen Has Apologized To An Area Homeowner For Taking Part In A Viral Challenge

Over the weekend, a southern Idaho homeowner shared footage on a local rants and raves Meta page. The initial post showed three young men taking part in the challenge, with one doing the kicking and two others waiting on the sidewalk. A Caucasian male is seen kicking the door once before turning around and fleeing.

The individual whose camera captured the incident later provided an update.

'Update…. The young man has reached out to me and apologized for his behavior and will be paying me for the damages and my time spent fixing the door. Thank you everyone that helped me get a message to him so he could make it right.
