Is Twin Falls Sabotaging New Places to Eat in the Magic Valley?
Over recent years, Twin Falls has had many businesses come and go. There have been some popular food chains that have called Twin Falls home, that have moved out, never to return. There have been some that have left and returned, and the verdict is still out on how they will do. It isn't only food though, as clothing stores and other businesses have moved into Twin Falls and left. Some of this is due to different circumstances beyond the control of residents in the Magic Valley. In contrast, others have closed due to lack of business, or for other reasons that Magic Valley customers played a part in. With many popular companies having come and gone through the years in the Magic Valley, it is fair to ask, is it the company, or is it the employees that reside in the Magic Valley?
Are Magic Valley Employees Sabotaging Businesses?
It may seem like a ridiculous question, but before you laugh it off, let's dig deeper into why employees in the Magic Valley could be sabotaging businesses. Through recent years, Popeyes has left Twin Falls, Papa John's, and Chipotle, although both have returned. All of these chains typically have good customer service and great reviews. They are successful chains, but for whatever reason, they all failed in Twin Falls at one point. Why would these chains be successful in most markets, but fail in the Magic Valley? It isn't that the food is bad, but it likely falls at the feet of the employees, the management, and perhaps the ownership as well. Many things can play a factor in the failure of a business, but could it be sabotaged by the people working there?
Employees Caused Chains to Close in Twin Falls
Things such as location, operation hours, and even the pandemic could be factors for places closing over the last few years, but many chains, find success in most markets. In Twin Falls, one of the common complaints about fast food chains that have closed was the customer service. It could be cold food, lack of sauce or toppings, a long wait, or rude employees. This does not reflect the company but reflects the employees that are working there. Bad employees equal bad customer service, which equals a lack of business and closure of business. Are employees doing this on purpose to run certain places out of town or is it a matter of the wrong people working at these companies? It is known Twin Falls doesn't like change and many would like to see it stop growing, which raises eyebrows and makes one wonder if sabotage is at play.
Papa John's and Chipotle have returned, and in their time here the reviews have been positive and they both seem to be doing well. New locations could be playing a factor, but so could new management and new employees. If another company returned that has failed before, could different employees and management, and perhaps a new location help it thrive this time around? It is only a theory, but sabotage could be why some food chains and other businesses no longer call Twin Falls home.
