Don’t Miss These 9 Events This Weekend Before Halloween in the Magic Valley
Halloween is fast approaching, and if you don't have a costume yet, this is the final weekend to shop, as it will be taking place next week. With the holiday falling on a weekday this year, many places are holding their Halloween events this weekend. This is the weekend that you don't want to be at home, as there is plenty to get out and do. You can take your children to fun events, or have plenty of adult fun as well. Get off the couch, get out, and enjoy many of the events happening the final weekend before Halloween in the Magic Valley.
Thursday, October 24 and Saturday, October 26 - CSI Women's Soccer
The soccer season is coming to an end and this is the final weekend of the regular season. The CSI women's soccer team will be in action two times this weekend, giving you one final chance to cheer the team on. They will be playing on Thursday at 1 PM against Utah State University Eastern, and then playing their regular-season finale on Saturday at 11 AM against fifth-ranked Snow College. They will be playing on Thursday at 3:30 PM against Utah State University Eastern and on Saturday at 1:30 PM against seventeenth-ranked Snow College. Thursday, October 24 Through Saturday, October 26 - Tubbs Berry Farm
One of the best parts about October in the Magic Valley is that Tubbs Berry Farm is open and has its massive straw maze, which this year is in the shape of a tractor. That isn't all that they have though, as they also have apple blasters, giant slides, a playground, food, a pumpkin patch, a petting zoo, and much more. They are now open through the week, which means they are open Thursday through Saturday from 3 PM to 9 PM on Thursday and 10 AM to 9 PM on Friday and Saturday. They will be open next week through the week, but this will be the final weekend for the maze and pumpkin patch. Friday, October 25 and Saturday, October 26 - The Haunted Swamp
If you are someone who enjoys being scared and like haunted attractions, then The Haunted Swamp is a must this weekend. The Haunted Swamp will be open Friday and Saturday from 7:30 PM to 11 PM, and is recommended for more mature audiences as there are some things not fit for young children, but if your child is brave, see how they do. Tickets are $23 at the door $21 online on Friday, and $25 at the door, and $22 on Saturday. Children 8 to 10 are $18 and children 3 to 7 are $15. Saturday, October 26 - Those Two Chicks Fall Market
Fall is one of the best times to get out and shop and this weekend there is a craft show happening that will offer a variety of items, as well as a fall festival as well. Those Two Chicks Fall Market will be taking place this Saturday at the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds in Filer and will be happening from 10 AM to 8 PM. There will be a craft show from 10 AM to 4 PM with over 50 crafters, artisans, vendors, and more. Saturday, October 26 - Read & Treat
This Saturday the Twin Falls Public Library will have their annual Read and Treat Storywalk event in Twin Falls City Park. The event will be happening from 11 AM to 1 PM. Bring the kiddos and dress them up in their costumes as you go booth to booth and the children get candy, while the adults can get information on each organization and find out things they may not know are happening in the Magic Valley. Saturday, October 26 - 'Tassels For Tatas'
October is breast cancer awareness month, and raising awareness is a huge part of the month, as many know someone who has had or currently has breast cancer. This weekend there is an event happening to help raise proceeds to help fight the disease. A three-day event is taking place that kicks off this Saturday at the Orpheum Theatre called 'Tassels for Tatas.' The event will begin at 7 PM and tickets start as low as $15. Saturday, October 26 - Halloween Adult Costume Party
There are many events and attractions around Halloween, but not many are geared toward adults in the Magic Valley. This weekend that will change as there is an adult Halloween costume party taking place. The party is this Saturday at The Gaslamp, located at 269 3rd Ave S and the party will begin at 8 PM. Tickets are $45 for couples in advance or $25 for individuals. Tickets are $30 for everyone at the door the night of the party. All proceeds will be going towards Magic Valley Pediatric Cancer Coalition. There will be a cash bar, DJ, light show, photo booth, and much more. Saturday, October 26 - 'Rocky Horror Picture Show'
There are certain movies that people have to watch each season or it doesn't feel like the holiday season. There are certain Halloween movies that are classics and a must every October and for many 'Rocky Horror Picture Show,' is among them.
