Magic Valley Exotic Pet Expo

The Magic Valley Exotic Pet Expo is both an expo and a sale. You can purchase exotic pets or you can just come down and check them all out! It is going to be on September 17th and September 18th at the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds from 8 am until 5 pm each day. There will be so many creatures to hang out with that aren't your typical furry friends. If you are a reptile lover or want to be, this is a great way to be introduced to them and potentially, give them a forever home.

Things To Be Aware Of Before The Expo

You can definitely come down and learn more about these amazing creatures that tend to get a bad reputation. However, before you purchase one of these beauties, make sure you know how to take care of them. Ask lots of questions about habitat, feeding, friends, foes, handling, and everything you can think of. Make sure you are prepared to give these babies the life they deserve. Too many people get pets without understanding their needs. So make sure you know your stuff and then get an awesome snake, lizard, frog, or whatever, to add to your home of friends.

Types Of Vendors That Will Be At The Expo

There are going to be a ton of different vendors. Some of them are called Awesome Axolotls, Snakeful Grace, Barton Exotics, Twin Falls Zoological Center, Show and Tail Rodents, Natures Way Python, Over Dressed Gecko and so much more. So judging by the names of the vendors there will be rats, mice, pythons, other snakes, bugs, geckos, and more. I don't know how many of them will be for sale and how many will be for show. Either way, it is going to be awesome.

LOOK: Here are the pets banned in each state

Because the regulation of exotic animals is left to states, some organizations, including The Humane Society of the United States, advocate for federal, standardized legislation that would ban owning large cats, bears, primates, and large poisonous snakes as pets.

Read on to see which pets are banned in your home state, as well as across the nation.

LOOK: Stunning animal photos from around the world

From grazing Tibetan antelope to migrating monarch butterflies, these 50 photos of wildlife around the world capture the staggering grace of the animal kingdom. The forthcoming gallery runs sequentially from air to land to water, and focuses on birds, land mammals, aquatic life, and insects as they work in pairs or groups, or sometimes all on their own.
