7 Events to Enjoy This March Weekend in the Magic Valley

Last weekend was filled with many events and a big party to celebrate St Patrick's Day. Some residents in the Magic Valley are still recovering, and for many, it is hard to believe that another week has passed since that festival. While staying in and relaxing after last weekend might be wise for some, for others, it is a chance to get out and have some fun. There are plenty of events taking place this weekend to get out and enjoy yourself in the Magic Valley over the next few days.

Thursday, March 20 Through Sunday, March 23 - March Madness

This weekend is one that many sports fans look forward to each week. It is the first weekend of the NCAA College Basketball Tournament, also known as March Madness. Many believe the first weekend is the best as it has the most games and is when most of the upsets occur. It is a great weekend to sit on the couch and enjoy four days of basketball, beginning on Thursday, and the final game ending on Sunday night. Thursday, March 20 - Buhl Rotary Club's Spaghetti Dinner

Who doesn't enjoy spaghetti? It is a delicious meal, and this weekend you can enjoy a spaghetti dinner and help a good cause. The Buhl Rotary Club will be having a spaghetti dinner this Thursday from 5:30 PM to 7 PM at Buhl Elementary School, located at 200 6th Ave N. The dinner will cost $25 for a family of four, $8 for individual adults, $5 for kids 6 to 12, and kids five and under are free. Friday, March 21 and Saturday, March 22 - CSI Baseball

The weather will be up and down this weekend, but if you want to get outside, the CSI baseball team will be in action on Friday and Saturday. The team is currently 22-10 and won their most recent game. They will be playing a four-game series against Colorado Northwestern Community College, with game times at noon and 2 PM on Friday, and at 11 AM and 1 PM on Saturday. Friday, March 21 - Booze, Love, and Awkward Situations With Jesse Carter

Everyone could use a laugh, especially after a long week at work. What better way to enjoy a chuckle than attending a comedy show? This Friday, Booze, Love, and Awkward Situations, a comedy show by Jesse Carter will be happening from 7 PM to 9 PM at the Lamphouse Theater, located at 223 5th Avenue in Twin Falls. Friday, March 21 Through Sunday, March 23 - 'Cinderella'

With the weather being unpredictable this weekend, staying indoors isn't a bad way to go. If you want to find indoor entertainment, how about an evening or afternoon at the theatre? 'Cinderella' will be performed this weekend at the Orpheum Theatre and it will be the final weekend. Performances will be on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Showtimes are at 7 PM on Friday and Saturday, and 2 PM on Sunday. Tickets start as low as $17.50. Saturday, March 22 - Movie Matinee

Going to the movies is a great way to spend a weekend afternoon, and the only thing better than a flick with the family is when it is entirely free. Movie Matinee takes place every Saturday at the Twin Falls Public Library at 3 PM and is a great way to enjoy a movie out of the house with the family without spending any money. Saturday, March 22 - Daddy Daughter Date Night

For any man that has a daughter, spending time with her, especially going to dances or on a daddy-daughter date night, are special moments that you will never forget. This weekend offers the chance to have a special night between dads and their daughters in the Magic Valley. There will be a Daddy Daughter Date Night happening in Jerome this Saturday from 5 PM to 7 PM at Renew, located at 111 East Main. There will be a free spaghetti dinner, an ice cream bar, a photo booth, and a dance floor. Daughters are encouraged to dress up as their favorite princesses or in their nicest attire. While this weekend may not be a giant party like last, there is plenty to get out and do.
