Beware of These People During the Holidays in the Gem State
While Christmas is still a bit away, the holiday shopping has already begun., When you walk into a store this time of year, there is Christmas candy, decorations, and lights everywhere. Some stores are playing music, and the holiday spirit is sweeping across Idaho. From now until the holiday, it is expected to be crazier around stores as everyone is shopping for gifts for their friends and family, getting things for Christmas parties, or getting items to decorate their home or the office. It is important to be aware of everyone around this time of year, and there are certain people who can ruin your day this holiday season in Idaho.
Holiday Shoppers in Idaho
As holiday shopping picks up, many people who typically don't go out will be making their way to stores, perhaps ones that they don't usually shop at. Most are busy during this time of year and thinking about hundreds of things as they are out shopping, and get easily distracted. Many are not aware of others around them and will take up aisles, walk slowly, and get in your way when you are going in and out of the store. These holiday shoppers can make things irritating, test your patience, and may lead to anger, but it is important to take a breath, relax, and not let them get to you or ruin your day. It will only get worse as the holidays get closer, and sadly, there is nothing you can do about it to stop them from being this way. There are a few things to do, though, to help you.
How to Handle Holiday Shopping in Idaho
When going in and out of stores, it is important to put your phone down and pay attention. Many of these holiday shoppers are not paying attention to people in the parking lots, so it is best to walk defensively. Make sure you see all the vehicles when going into buildings and coming out, and make sure they see you before going in front of them. Assuming they won't stop is the best way to approach things. Another great way to handle holiday shopping is to go early in the morning when stores first open or less than an hour before they close, to hopefully avoid the busier hours and have more of the store to yourself. This will help get through aisles and have more room to walk with fewer people in your way. Avoid going to stores during lunch hour or when work first ends between the hours of 5 PM and 7 PM, when most people are looking to go to the store before going home.

Your patience will be tested, you will likely get annoyed, and someone will cut you off or stand in front of you when you want to get to an item on the shelf this holiday season. Remember, it is the holiday season, and if you can stay calm, these shoppers will soon go back into hibernation, and you won't have to deal with them again until the holiday season next year.
