What Should Fill Empty Store in the Magic Valley?
The news is still fresh, but another popular store has announced they will be closing in the Magic Valley. JoAnn has announced they will close all locations in 2025, after filing for bankruptcy. This is devastating news to their loyal customers, and with the Magic Valley being home to one of these locations, the area will need to adjust as it says goodbye to the store. While losing a beloved store like JoAnn is a big deal, attention, as it often does, will now turn toward what should fill the building once it is empty, and what would be a great addition to the Magic Valley. What would residents like to see move into JoAnn once it is no longer occupied, and what would be best for this location?
What Should Move into JoAnn in Twin Falls?
The building that will soon be empty is in a prime location, sitting in a shopping center at the intersection of Blue Lakes and Falls Avenue. This is a prime location in Twin Falls, and many will want to fill the area to take advantage of this great commercialized location. The building is decently sized and offers plenty of opportunity for a new store to move in. Before residents get too excited, the building is not sized right for a Dave & Busters and is likely not the ideal place to put a family fun center. While those are great ideas, they are not the most realistic for this structure. There is one popular option that residents have been pleading for for years, that would make plenty of sense to fill the area.
Trader Joe's in Twin Falls
There are many options to fill the soon-to-be vacant building, but one option that makes plenty of sense is to finally add a Trader Joe's to the Magic Valley. Residents have let it be known for years that they would like to add one, and the location is ideal, being in the center of town, as well as having a big parking lot to accommodate the customers, and a store big enough to accommodate a Trader Joe's. Another possible option would be to add an Aldi, which residents recently expressed wanting to add to Twin Falls. While another grocery store may not be ideal for everyone, these are two of the most desired businesses that have been asked for, and would likely be supported.

While it is sad to see JoAnn close their doors and wave goodbye to the Magic Valley, what comes next can often be exciting and many will wait impatiently to see what will move into the big space that will soon be empty in the middle of Twin Falls.
