Popular Fast-Food Chain in Golden State to Close 150 Locations

The food industry has not had a good 2024. Many of the most popular chains in the country have seen hundreds of locations nationwide close this year, and others have sadly closed all of their doors forever. Some of these places were once on top of the fast food and dining out industry, and now, they are closing their doors. Unfortunately, this trend is likely not going to end going into 2025. It seems every month another chain makes that dreadful announcement that they are closing several stores, and a popular fast-food chain has joined that group and announced they will be closing 150 stores.

Wendy's Closing 150 Locations

Wendy's has long been a popular fast-food chain. Their famous frosty is perfect for dipping French fries into, and their square hamburger patties separate them from other fast-food hamburger chains. Recently, the popular chain announced that it would be closing 150 locations nationwide. This may affect the store that is closest to your home or work, but it doesn't mean for certain that it will be one of the ones closing, as Wendy's is yet to announce which locations will be coming to an end. Wendy's said they would be focusing on stores that are underperforming and that are outdated. 

Wendy's in California 

Wendy's currently has 300 locations in the Golden State, making the odds high that at least a few will be among the 150 locations to close. The good news is, with so many in the state, it shouldn't be hard to find another one, although it might be a little further of a drive. Because of the reason for the closings, Wendy's is optimistic that they will open new locations shortly to replace the stores that will be closing soon.
