Food is an interesting topic to discuss because everyone has a different opinion. I can’t stand cilantro, but I will eat radishes, and everyone I know thinks that is weird.
A study was done to find the best chain restaurants (and the worst) in the country, and we’re familiar with all of them in Idaho, Utah, and Washington.
You won’t find your favorite mom and pop or delicious local dive on this list - just the ‘super-chain’ restaurants.
Study Calls These the Best and the Worst Restaurants in ID, WA, and UT
We got our information from the Coupon Birds website, where their main goal is to find ways to save you money on purchases, but they took time from the money-saving game to dig into user reviews to save you from eating at the worst restaurants in the US.
Actually, some of their ’worst’ list includes a few of my favorites. Maybe I do have bad taste? They say the worst restaurant is Taco John’s, followed by McDonald’s...and I love me some McD's fries.
We are only going to do the top 3 restaurants, because Waffle House came in 4th place overall, and their closest locations are in Colorado and Arizona. Nationally, these are the top 3 ‘super-chain’ restaurants:

But, as I mentioned before, everyone has different tastes, and the ‘Top 3’ differs by state. The favorite restaurants are completely different between Idaho, Utah, and Washington.
Idaho seems to love variety with a chicken shop (that surprisingly isn’t Chic-fil-A), tacos, and Korean BBQ.
Utah chooses 2 healthy food options and a family-friendly restaurant.
Washington tries to be fancy with Mediterranean fare, Korean BBQ, and tacos.
