ISP Needs Help Finding Driver Who Hit and Killed a Bicyclist in Idaho

A bicyclist was hit and killed on an Idaho highway and police are looking for the driver who fled the scene.

The tragic accident happened on Tuesday evening north of Caldwell.

UPDATED INFO: The Idaho State Police have released new information about the vehicle involved in the deadly accident. They are looking for a silver or light gray 2004-2006 Acura TL that was last seen headed towards Parma on US20-26.

Bicyclist Killed by Car on Idaho Highway: Police Looking for Driver

The Idaho State Police have reported that the accident happened around 7PM at mile marker 26 on the I84 offramp at the US20-26 interchange. The bicyclist was hit by two different vehicles, one of whom fled the scene.

The News Release from the Idaho State Police states:

A bicyclist was traveling eastbound on US20-26. A gray passenger car turning westbound onto US20-26 from the I84 off ramp struck the bicyclist who was struck a second time by a 2013 Ram 2500 also turning westbound. The driver of the passenger car fled the scene.

The bicyclist, a 55-year-old-man from Caldwell, was critically injured and died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet. The driver of the Ram, a 43-year-old man from Caldwell, was not injured.

The accident blocked traffic in the area for about 3 and a half hours and is being investigated by the Idaho State Police.
