A tragic accident on Thursday evening took the life of a teen in Southern Idaho.

The driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and there were no other injuries reported.

Fatal Car Crash Kills Teen in Southern Idaho

Idaho State Police are investigating a deadly crash that happened Thursday, August 21st a few minute before midnight. The accident was a single-vehicle crash in Canyon County near Caldwell on Ustick Road and Angelina Court. The police report states:

A BMW 650, driven by an 18-year-old male, from Homedale, Idaho, was traveling westbound on Ustick Road when he drove off the road and came to rest in a yard off Ustick Road and Angelina Court.

The driver succumbed to his injures at the scene. He was not wearing a seat-belt.

The accident will be investigated by ISP who were assisted at the scene of the crash by Canyon County Paramedics, the Caldwell Fire Department, and the Canyon County Sheriff’s Office.

ISP were also on the scene of a serious injury accident in Bonneville County on Wednesday, August 20th. Around 8:20 PM they responded to an accident between a motorcycle and a car:

At 8:21 p.m. Idaho State Police (ISP) troopers responded to a collision involving a black Honda motorcycle driven by a 48-year-old-male with a 40-year-old-female passenger both from Idaho Falls and a white Ford Taurus driven by a juvenile with a 19-year-old-female passenger both from Idaho Falls.

Both occupants of the motorcycle were transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. Both occupants of the Ford Taurus were wearing seat belts and not transported.

The crash blocked traffic in the area for nearly 4 hours and is under investigation by ISP. Authorities are looking for witnesses to the crash. If you have information to share, you can contact ISP at 208-528-3408.
