
Idaho State Police Report Single Vehicle Fatality Crash Near Wendell
A driver was killed in Southern Idaho after losing control of his vehicle and striking a power pole.
Speed and a lack of seatbelt usage are believed to be factors in the fatality.
Single Vehicle Fatality Crash Near Wendell
The Idaho State Police released a news report regarding a single-vehicle accident on September 2nd, 2025, in Southern Idaho near Wendell at 3084 S 1700 E. The accident happened around 4:40 in the afternoon.
- A 2000 Honda Accord, driven by a 22-year-old male of Wendell, ID, was traveling northbound on S 1700 E Rd at a high rate of speed
- The Honda lost control and drove off the road, striking a power pole
- The driver of the Honda was not wearing a seatbelt and succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash.
The crash blocked the lanes of S 1700 E for more than 8 hours as crews cleared the scene and restored utilities in the area.
