
Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Southern Idaho Causes Brush Fire
A motorcyclist was killed in an accident on Sunday afternoon on State Highway 55 near Boise.
The accident caused a small brush fire and blocked the road for around three and a half hours.
Young Motorcycle Driver Killed in Boise Crash
The Idaho State Police are reporting that a motorcycle was involved in a collision with a Honda SUV on Sunday afternoon.
- A 23-year-old male from Caldwell was riding northbound on SH55 on a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle.
- A 45-year-old male from Idaho City was traveling southbound on SH55 in a 2010 Honda Pilot.
The Yamaha crossed the center lane line and struck the Honda. The motorcycle driver passed away at the scene of the crash and the driver of the Honda was taken by ambulance to a local hospital hospital.

A small fire started along the highway due to the crash, though the police report doesn’t say it required assistance from a fire department. It's possible fire crews showed up for the fire but not the accident and weren't included in the accident assistance list. ISP was assisted by the Ada County Sheriff’s Office, Horseshoe Bend Ambulance, Acute Rescue, and Boise County Sheriff’s Office.
