Over the weekend, the Idaho State Police reported responses to two fatal accidents on Idaho highways. One accident near Coeur d’Alene claimed the life of a young female driver. A juvenile was injured in the other accident north of Mountain Home, and the female driver passed away.

Juvenile Injured, Adult Driver Killed in Idaho Rollover Accident Near Mountain Home

A fatal accident on October 12th, north of Mountain Home on Interstate 84 at mile marker 80, is being investigated by the Idaho State Police. Idaho State Police believe the 46-year-old female driver from Nampa in a 2000 Toyota Tacoma was traveling westbound when she left the roadway around 10:50 PM.

The vehicle rolled and ended up in the eastbound lanes of I-84. Despite wearing safety belts, the driver passed away at the scene of the accident, and a juvenile passenger was taken by air ambulance to a local hospital.

A second accident reported by Idaho State Police happened earlier that morning, around 2:50, near Coeur d’Alene, southbound on Coeur d’Alene River Road. The crash was a single-vehicle accident.

A 24-year-old female driver from Post Falls was driving a black Kia Sportage and failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The vehicle went off the road and rolled. The young driver was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene of the accident.
