The weekend was a dangerous and deadly two days on Idaho highways.

The Idaho State Police have reported that between two major accidents, one person died and 5 were taken to local hospitals. Additionally, a previous accident from the end of June was updated with a second fatality.

These Injury and Fatality Accidents Happened in Idaho Over the Weekend

Idaho State Police don’t report on all accidents that happen on roads across the state, but these two accidents were posted to their website News Releases pages.

In a semi-truck accident on Sunday morning in Cassia County, one person was killed and a passenger was taken to the hospital.

A 2026 Freightliner, driven by a 57-year-old male from Windermere, Florida, was traveling westbound on I84 when the driver left the roadway and overcorrected.

The Freightliner rolled blocking both lanes of travel westbound.

Both occupants were wearing seatbelts when the accident happened. The accident is being investigated by ISP.

The other weekend accident injured four people on Saturday in Butte County on US20-26.

A 2019 Ford F150, driven by a 39-year-old male from Idaho Falls, was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes on US20-26.

The Ford F150 collided head-on with a 2025 Chevy Silverado that was driving westbound, driven by a 64-year-old male from West Haven, Utah.

The four occupants of the Silverado were taken to a local hospital. ISP will continue the accident investigation.
