
Idaho State Police Pursuit Ends in Felony Arrest Near Coeur d ‘Alene
Idaho State Police engaged in a vehicle pursuit Monday east of Coeur d'Alene.
The pursuit resulted in a felony arrest.
The Idaho State Police have reported that their troopers were involved in the pursuit of a silver 2005 Honda Civic after Shoshone County deputies attempted a traffic stop. Around 2PM on March 3rd, a traffic complaint was reported of a possible DUI.
The deputies attempted to stop the vehicle on I 90 around milepost 45, which is near Pinehurst.

The Honda refused to stop and a pursuit began.
ISP Use Spike Strips and PIT Maneuver to Stop Dangerous Driver
ISP engaged the driver near milepost 19 in Kootenai County where tire spikes were used to deflate the tires of the Honda and slow the vehicle. The Honda continued for a short distance before ISP were able to perform a PIT maneuver and stop the car.
The driver, a 34-year-old man from Missoula, Montana was arrested and booked in the Kootenai County Jail.
According to the report from the Idaho State Police, he is looking at the following charges:
- Felony Eluding
- Driving Under the Influence
- Felony Possession of Stolen Property
- Driving Without Privileges
- Providing false Information to Law Enforcement
ISP say the Honda Civic was reported as stolen.
