
Semi Truck Accident North of Twin Falls Sends Female Driver to Hospital
Along one of the most dangerous stretches of highway in Idaho, an accident between a semi-truck and an SUV on Wednesday morning sent one person to the hospital with injuries.
The accident happened just north of one of the deadliest intersections in the entire United States, and the deadliest in Idaho.
SUV vs Semi Truck Injury Accident North of Jerome, Idaho
In the report from the Idaho State Police, we learn that a two-vehicle accident happened on Highway 93 at 750N in Jerome. The accident happened around 12:15 PM on Wednesday.
- A 2008 Toyota Rav4 was driven by a 20-year-old female from Caldwell, and a 48-year-old male from Jerome was driving a 2014 Peterbilt Semi.
- Both vehicles were travelling northbound on Highway 93 when the Toyota made an illegal U-turn at the intersection of 750 N and the Peterbilt collided with it.
The female driver was injured and required transport to a local hospital by air ambulance.

The deadliest intersection in Idaho is the intersection of US93 with SR25. The intersection is also listed among the top 30 deadliest in the United States.
Precautions have been taken to make the intersection safer over recent years with the addition of stop signs and lights.
