Response to a Call of Shots Fired Near Southern ID Restaurant

Police in Southern Idaho have been investigating a report of a shooting that happened just after midnight on January 4th, 2025.

The report says that officers responded to a call of shots fired in North Burley near the Panda Express.

The information was shared on the Cassia County Sheriff’s Office social media page on January 10th at 6:26 AM. They say that the suspects in the shooting left the scene in a white Dodge Charger heading south on Overland Ave.

Officers were able to catch and stop the vehicle around Bedke Blvd and Hampton Drive near the Snake River. In the announcement, the Cassia County Sheriff’s Office states:

Two female occupants were detained while the deputies conducted their investigation. While detained one female suspect broke out the rear window of a patrol car. The female suspect was arrested and booked into the Mini-Cassia Criminal Justice Center on multiple criminal charges.

Thankfully there were no reports of any injuries from the shots fired and no property damage was reported.

The report doesn’t say if the shots were fired at a person, or an object, or into the air - but the investigation remains under investigation.

Names weren’t released by authorities, but there were only 2 bookings in Cassia County, Idaho on January 4th, 2025. Those bookings can be seen in the jail booking section of the government website.

One of those women was booked for: Assault - Aggravated Use of a Deadly Weapon/Instrument and Resisting or Obstructing Officers.

Troopers in Cassia County responded to a stolen vehicle call the following day which resulted in a pursuit through town and several felony charges for the driver.
