Three Teens Injured in Rollover Accident on Southern Idaho Highway

A rollover accident in Southern Idaho sent three teens to the hospital after the vehicle they were in left the road.

Idaho State Police say the accident happened early Tuesday morning east of Burley near the I84 junction with I86.

Three Teens Hospitalized Following Rollover Accident in Idaho

The accident happened on July 22nd at 4:30AM and required assistance from the Idaho State Police, Cassia County Sheriff’s Office, East End Fire Department and Quick Response Unit (QRU), Air St, Luke’s, and Emergency Response Ambulance.

The ISP report states:

A 2011 Chevy Cruze, driven by an 18-year-old female from Hansen, was traveling westbound on Interstate 86 when the vehicle left the roadway into the median and rolled.

There were also two passengers in the vehicle: a 19-year-old female from Hansen, Idaho and a 19-year-old male from Lanai City, Hawaii.

The driver and female passenger were taken by ground ambulance to a hospital and the male passenger was taken by air ambulance. The driver was wearing a seatbelt and two passengers were not wearing seatbelts.

The accident is under investigation by Idaho State Police.

In the last few days there have been multiple fatal and injury accidents involving young drivers.

A teen was injured in an accident near Boise where alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash. Another teen was killed in a rollover accident on US95 on July 19th and two teens were injured in an accident when their vehicle struck a semi truck south of Idaho Falls.

Idaho State Police are investigating each accident.
