Driver Killed, Juvenile Passenger Injured in 4 Vehicle Crash West of Twin Falls, Idaho

A tragic accident on Thursday evening was reported by the Idaho State Police in Southern Idaho. The crash involved 4 vehicles, killed one driver, and injured a young passenger.

The accident blocked the Southern Idaho highway for around 5 hours and is being investigated by the Idaho State Police. Keep reading for more details on the unfortunate wreck.

Deadly 4 Vehicle Accident Reported West of Twin Falls by Idaho State Police

Idaho State Police reported that the accident happened on Thursday evening at approximately 5:06 PM on State Highway 46, south of Wendell. The accident happened at the intersection of SH46 and 3600 S, near mile marker 92.

Details of the accident, individuals, and vehicles involved were shared by ISP:

• A 23-year-old male from Jerome, was driving northbound on SH46 in a blue 2019 Nissan Sentra.
• The Sentra slowed to make a left turn onto 3600 S in Gooding County.
• The Nissan was struck from behind by a red 1994 Chrysler LHS, driven by a 20-year-old female from Wendell.
• A 39-year-old male from Buhl was driving southbound on SH46 in a white 1999 Ford Ranger.
• The Ford collided with the driver side of the blue Nissan after it was pushed into the southbound lanes.
• The Nissan was then rear ended by a 2016 Chevrolet pick-up, driven by a 50-year-old male from Connell, WA.

All occupants were wearing seatbelts, but the driver of the Nissan passed away at the scene of the accident and a young passenger in his car was taken by air ambulance to a local hospital.

ISP had assistance at the scene of the accident from local first responders and will continue their investigation.

Driver Killed in Rollover Accident North of Boise, ID

Idaho State Police also reported a rollover vehicle accident north of Boise in New Meadows on Thursday night. A few minutes after 9PM on US95 a vehicle rolled and struck a power pole, knocking it down. Debris from the power pole hit 3 other vehicles.

The vehicle that rolled was a 2005 Kia Rio driven by a 25-year-old male from Caldwell. He passed away at the scene of the crash. According to the ISP report:

A white 2016 Ford Expedition, gray 2002 Ford F250, and a white 1990 International semi-truck struck debris from the power pole.

ISP will investigate the crash.
