Having to visit the Department of Motor Vehicles to take the written test to get or renew a driver's license is stressful for most people. There are always a couple of questions that throw us for a loop or make us doubt what we already know.

I'm having to visit the Twin Falls DMV this week. I recently bought a truck in Idaho, but I'm still using my out-of-state license, so I'm not sure what to expect when I walk up to the counter to try to register it; I was only given a week to get it done.

From what I've been told and researched, my two options are likely that I'll be asked to forfeit my out-of-state license and apply for an Idaho one, which means getting hit with the written test, or I'll be allowed to register it and be given some time to prepare for the exam.
