Building a new home from the ground up takes a lot of thought. New home builders need to consider finding the right piece of land, deciding on square footage and the number of bathrooms and bedrooms, and selecting interior appliances and decor. There are new home furnishings trends that anyone getting ready to build or move into a new home should see before making those final decisions.

I think most humans want Italian marble countertops and kitchen islands, ocean views, infinity pools, personal saunas, and other home luxuries, but there's only a small percentage of Americans who can afford to live like that.

I've bought and sold an Idaho home, but never have I been through the process of construction from the ground up. Good Housekeeping released its latest interior design trends for people who want a fancy-looking home but don't have the means to afford it. The coolest thing I've seen recently are lava staircases. To have such a thing built would take a lot of cash, but man, the finished product would be amazing. Another cool thing about these staircases for your new Gem State home is that most of central and southern Idaho is made up of cooled lava beds, so the theme would tie in well.

Organic light fixtures, vintage furniture, natural wood, and mixed metals are all featured in the 2024 designer trends released by Good Housekeeping. Again, something to consider if you'll be decorating your new Idaho home soon.
