PHOTOS: Haunted Mansion-Inspired Eatery & Bar Opens In California
If you love Halloween, Tim Burton, and Disneyland's Haunted Mansion ride, then there's a new eatery in Southern California that caters to people just like you. I stopped in for a bite and a signature cocktail recently and had one of the best times out with friends and family I've had in a long time.
One of my favorite things about October is getting down to Anaheim and spending a day at Disneyland decorated for the Halloween season. It's true that prices are tough for most people to budget, but if you manage to somehow scrape the funds together the experience is definitely worth the admission. One of the park's most celebrated rides is the Haunted Mansion.
I had a tasty order of buffalo wings and a Pumpkin King Cocktail, inspired by Tim Burton. The experience was incredible and I highly recommend fans of the ride and movie stop in there if possible.
Beginning in October and carrying on through the Christmas season, the staff decorates the park and rides with seasonal flare. One of the most recognizable additions are the characters from Tim Burton's 1993 Nightmare Before Christmas film. They pop up throughout the park on rides, in lines for photo opportunities, and as part of the evening fireworks display.
Just down the road from Disneyland is the newly-opened Broken Spirits, which is currently operating in its third month. The eatery shares space with Villians Brewing Company, located less than two miles from Disneyland. The current manager is a very likable and hospitable woman named Kei Moore.

For big fans of the Haunted Mansion ride, there is also a themed Airbnb that pays homage to the attraction just a few miles down the 405 Freeway in Orange County.
