A Washington State woman who reportedly confessed to killing her father in a fit of rage with an ice axe is still being held on bail and is awaiting her day in court. The alleged attack was reportedly over some lights in the home being turned off.

Seattle police responded to a horrific scene months ago involving a father and daughter. When authorities arrived, they found smashed windows and were met by a 33-year-old woman at the door covered in blood, according to details provided by nypost.com. Police later discovered the body of an adult male, which turned out to be her father, unresponsive from numerous lacerations and puncture wounds, according to kcrg.com. The incident took place in November of 2024.

The alleged perpetrator is being held on bail at a Seattle-area detention center, according to reports. The woman, who reportedly may have been suffering from mental illness, is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
