WATCH: Idaho Man Builds Bunker-Sauna Into Hill On Property
It's pretty awesome when a person dreams up a clever idea and follows through with its execution. One resourceful Idaho builder turned his blueprints for a unique steam room into a remarkable feat of engineering.
If there's one thing most Idahoans know how to do, it's work well with their hands. My brother-in-law who lives just outside of Twin Falls built a wooden, pirate chest sound system in his garage for when we get together for pool and darts. He also crafted LED cornhole boards in a matter of a few days; I'm extremely envious of people who have minds that work this way.
The thing I appreciate about this dude is the way he keeps his audience engaged. This guy deserves his own DIY show on HGTV.
Idaho is a builders kind of state. I have another friend in southern Idaho who forges his own knives and another acquaintance who built a bourbon bar into a corner of his living room. Follow-through is another characteristic of people in the Gem State.
I recently came across a YouTube short of a guy who began construction on hillside sauna on his property. The Gem State builder does a great job of walking his viewers through the entire process, including the specific materials he uses. He ends the video by asking the viewers for some insulation advice.
The thing I appreciate about this dude is the way he keeps his audience engaged. This guy deserves his own DIY show on HGTV. Again, I have to take my hat off to these types of crafty individuals, and you can find them all across the Gem State.
Hopefully, he will post a video of the finished product. We'd love to see it.
