Officials say the number of travelers going through Magic Valley Regional Airport during 2010 was up and they are crediting Allegiant Air for the increase.

The number of travelers at Magic Valley during 2010 numbered 66,600.  That’s over 13,000 more travelers than in 2009.  Allegiant Air began making weekly trips to and from Las Vegas in May and officials say that is the major reason for the increase.  And besides from just the Magic Valley it’s also noted that the Las Vegas flights have also  drawn travelers from the Boise and Sun Valley areas.
