Well, here we are. After months of speculation and rumors, the premiere of NBC's 'Hannibal' is right around the corner and the first trailer has arrived to prove it. Can the iconic character of Hannibal Lecter be brought to the the small screen without (pardon the pun) loosing his teeth? Check out the trailer for yourself below!

For what could have (and let's face it, should have) been a cheap cash-in on a popular name, 'Hannibal' sure has a lot going for it. In front of the camera, the absurdly talented Mads Mikkelsen is filling the massive shoes previous inhabited by Anthony Hopkins as the cannibalistic gentlemen serial killer, Hannibal Lecter. Backing him up is Hugh Dancy as FBI agent Will Graham (who you may remember as being played by Edward Norton in 2003's 'Red Dragon') and a supporting cast that includes Laurence Fishburne, Gillian Anderson and Lance Henriksen. Behind the camera is Bryan Fuller, the mind behind the beloved 'Pushing Daisies' and 'Wonderfalls.' Heck, David Slade of 'Hard Candy' and '30 Days of Night Fame' directed the pilot!

So forgive us if we're feeling a little optimistic about this one. Sure, it could be a pretty standard network procedural with a bit of a 'Dexter' twist, but there sure are a lot of great names involved. We'll be there when the first episode premieres on April 4th.
