A Rupert woman will serve nine years in prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.  The U.S. Attorney's Office says 42-year-old Leaha Annette Rivera was sentenced yesterday in federal court for conspiring with others to distribute more than 500 grams of the drug between September and December of last year. Prosecutors say Rivera was in a car with 33-year-old Rigaberto Moreno Sanchez last November when they were stopped by law enforcement in Victorville, Calif. Authorities say they found more than 440 grams of methamphetamine in the vehicle and Rivera later admitted that she and Sanchez had been selling the drug. Sanchez, who is also from Idaho, was sentenced last month to 14 years in prison. Rivera pleaded guilty June 27th to the drug conspiracy charge.
