Idaho State Police say a distracted truck driver caused a seven-vehicle crash that killed him and three U.S. airmen from Mountain Home Air Force Base.

300 airmen from Mountain Home Air Force Base left Idaho Monday evening for a deployment to Southwest Asia in support of F-15 operations.  Mountain Home Air Force Base says the 391st Fighter Squadron "Bold Tigers" will be involved in close air support and combat.

More airmen with the 366th Fighter Wing returned home to Idaho yesterday. Their main job while in Afghanistan was supporting the military with combat operations.  About 400 airmen with the 366th returned home last week. Even more airmen will be coming back over the next week or so...

More Idaho airmen will soon be deploying overseas.  About 400 airmen attached to the  389th Fighter Squadron “T-Bolts” out of Mountain Home Air Force Base will be leaving soon to participate in Operation Enduring Freedom and the war in Afghanistan.
