(KLIX)-The Twin Falls Canal Company started cutting back on the amount of water it delivers to users. Poor spring runoff and a low snow pack has made for a dry spring, coupled with hardly any rain. The canal company began the year with good storage but the company made the decision to hold back some water for the benefit of next years storage says Manager Brian Olmstead...

Farmers in the Magic Valley should see water starting to fill up the canal system next week. The Times News reports canal companies in the area are now busy preparing the systems for the water deliveries.  Shareholders of the Twin Falls Canal Company should start getting delivery about the middle of April...

Another round of water recharge has been approved to help replenish the Snake River Plain Aquifer.  The Idaho Water Resource Board met last week and approved nearly $133,000 to fund over 44,000 acre-feet of recharge.
