JEROME, Idaho – Some 27,000 chinook salmon are expected to return to the Snake River Basin this fall – and anglers will have a chance to catch their share starting Aug. 18, when the fall season opens on parts of the Snake, Clearwater and Salmon rivers.
CHALLIS, Idaho – If you were planning a trip to fish for chinook on the South Fork of the Salmon River – Idaho’s popular salmon fishery – you might want to plan another venue, such as the Lochsa River or Upper Salmon.
