Chronic Wasting Disease

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game announced the latest numbers as of March 16, show that out of the 375 deer and eight elk removed from the Slate Creek drainage, 21 test samples have come back positive for chronic wasting disease (CWD)

Two animals a few hundred feet apart but well inside the state.

CWD has plagued Utah, Wyoming, and Montana.

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game said a certain disease that effects elk, deer and moose could someday change how those species are managed in the Gem State, potentially affecting hunting seasons.
