Filming Locations

Hells Canyon scenes were used in place of the Snake River, in which Eastwood and Bridges were attempting to board the Idaho Dream mail boat at one point in the movie.

I learned that some of the outdoor sequences in the film were shot in Washington State, as well as the city of Moscow, Idaho.
